Speaking of prayer

Please join me in praying for Joshua Ortiz (15), a student in our youth group. He hurt himself skating a few weeks ago and while at the doctor's they discovered a lump on one of his testicles. The biopsy came back positive for cancer. He had it removed but then a tumor was found on his lung. This was also removed and test results are still pending. As I write this Josh is in surgery, getting his lymph nodes removed. I was able to speak and pray with him before he went into the operating room. Please pray for him, that the surgery is successful and the cancer does not spread, but more importantly that He understands and accepts the Gospel. He says he is a Christian but I am not sure if he fully understands what it means to let Christ be the Lord of his life. Pray also for his family situation as he is an orphan who lives with his grandparents. Fortunatly they are strong believers but don't relate well to him as they speak only spanish and he speaks primarily english.

thank you for your prayers.
